The ability to read is one of the most important predictors of academic success. Children with reading problems are at risk for setting a pattern of experiencing failure in school. Early identification can significantly reduce this risk.
Here at TSS, screenings are available at no charge to children pre-kindergarten to third grade. Each screening and feedback session with parents takes 30 to 45 minutes.
Screenings are conducted by school administrators, who have received specialized training in literacy test administration and interpretation.
